Senior Sales Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re hiring a Senior Sales Manager to join our international sales team. You will be in charge of dedicated territory sales.

YOU WILL

• maximize sales in your territories to ensure sales targets are met both at international film festivals and markets and throughout the year
• maintain and nurture our long-term relationships with distributors or buyers in your territories and build new customer relationships
• continuously research growth opportunities in the changing realities of the markets
• master deal structures and relevant administrative documentation
• continuously report outcomes internally and to producers

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• demonstrated ability working as a Sales Manager in the international film sales business or a closely related industry
• passion for the people in this business and you embrace the challenges of being a sales agent
• love for traveling to meet new and existing clients
• motivation to drive forward sales targets both independently as well as collaboratively, and feel comfortable working as part of a team
• excellent sales and negotiation skills
 

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS
 
• 5+ years of experience in the film business
• alongside excellent proficiency in English, ideally you have proficiency in German and at least one more language
 

LOGISTICS

This position is a full time position, preferably located at our office in Berlin. You'll be expected to work in commutable distance to our Berlin office.

Senior Director of Acquisition

Full time, Berlin
 
ABOUT THE ROLE
 
This is a business-critical role, reporting into the General Manager at The Match Factory, and will influence sales, development and production.


YOU WILL

  • oversee all points at which projects enter the companies and may become relevant for international sales
  • create our short and mid term acquisition strategy in close collaboration with our General Manager
  • supervise our acquisition manager on submission management and project scouting
  • cross-collaborate with multiple departments to evaluate all incoming projects, which includes ensuring a smooth green light process offer smart and attractive deals to producers, creating a feedback loop with Production, Marketing, Sales, Business Affairs
  • deliver budgeting and controlling instruments to the General Manager, VPs Business Affairs, Sales and Production
  • build rapport with our partners
YOU ARE
 
  • currently working at a Senior Management level
  • widely knowledgeable of the international sales, distribution and film financing business
  • building a robust data-led approach to informing the way we think about acquisition and performance
  • hiring and leading high-performing teams
  • passionate about elevating cinema
  • proficient in German and English languages
